Stay alert to phone and text scams claiming to be from utilities

Customers are reminded to remain vigilant against phone and text scams, which continue to circulate and may fraudulently claim to be from Burlington Hydro.

Important reminders:

• Legitimate Burlington Hydro representatives never ask for banking or credit card information over the phone or by text.
• If you receive a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from Burlington Hydro, hang up immediately.
