Infrared inspections were also completed to identify loose or damaged connections that could affect reliability.

Based on the testing results, Burlington Hydro carried out a combination of repairs, system upgrades, and cable replacements. Where faults or damage were identified and immediate restoration was required, crews completed temporary cable splicing to safely restore service. These locations were then scheduled for permanent replacement. In addition, surge arrestors and faulted circuit indicators were installed to improve system protection and help crews locate future faults more quickly, reducing outage duration and improving response times.
