RECRUITMENT PROCESS: What to Expect

Step 1: Apply Online

We will post the current student openings during the posting timelines. The job posting will include specific details and instructions. Burlington Hydro uses an online recruitment platform. Apply online with your resume and cover letter expressing your interest. You have the option to include your LinkedIn profile. Please ensure you fully complete the application, and you have the option to include any relevant documents.

You will receive an auto-generated response email confirming receipt of your application.

Step 2: Screening and Shortlisting

We will review applicants against the hiring criteria and contact students we’d like to proceed in the process.

Step 3: Assessment and Interview

If selected, you’ll be invited to an interview to help us learn more about you and it’s also your opportunity to get to know us.

Candidates may be invited to participate in skills or aptitude assessment testing.

Step 4: References and Background Checks

We do a background check including references, academic transcripts, etc.

You will also be requested to complete a reference consent form to allow us to contact your professional and academic references.

Step 5: Offer of Employment

At this stage, you’ll receive an offer, and we’ll work with you throughout the recruitment process upon your start date. Once you start with us, we’ll help you settle in, and the journey begins.
