Residential electricity use is billed on a block-rate system, with different rates for winter and summer months.
During the May-October summer months, the first rate block has a ceiling of 600 kWh or 1,200 kWh total on a bi-monthly bill.
During the November-April winter months, the first rate block has a ceiling of 1,000 kWh or 2,000 kWh total on a bi-monthly bill.
